  • Raw Material Reference
    • Black soybean seed coat extract (Chromanin®-10)
Anthocyanin, the black pigment found in black soybeans, possesses strong antioxidant properties that help protect the plant from harsh conditions and enable it to pass life on to the next generation. In recent years, cyanidin-3-glucoside, a component of anthocyanins, has been identified as having particularly strong antioxidant and biological activity.

    • Marigold Extract
This is a marigold extract containing purified free-form lutein derived from marigold petals. Lutein helps absorb blue light and reduce damage to the retina and macula, acting like “natural sunglasses.” Studies have reported that lutein may help reduce the risk of the onset and progression of age-related macular degeneration. Lutein deficiency is also said to increase the risk of developing cataracts.

    • Bilberry Extract
Rich in anthocyanins, which are considered beneficial for eye health, as well as dietary fiber and vitamins A, C, and E. The human retina contains a substance called rhodopsin. Rhodopsin enables vision by transmitting signals to the brain. It is broken down by light and conveys visual information to the brain, after which it is resynthesized. The smooth repetition of this breakdown and resynthesis process is considered one indicator of healthy visual function. Anthocyanins are believed to help support the resynthesis of rhodopsin. Enhanced rhodopsin resynthesis is said to help improve visual function and support night vision.
